Who Is Eligible for Renewal:
Students awarded scholarships as high school seniors may have their scholarship renewed when they have demonstrated academic achievement, good citizenship, and strong participation in Diablo Scholars activities.
To be considered eligible for renewal, applicants must meet these qualifications:
- Completion of a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (24 total hours for the academic year).
- A cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
- Demonstrated potential to continue his or her college career by remaining in good standing with the university and meeting all scholarship criteria.
A scholarship is renewable for eight consecutive semesters, commencing upon graduation from an eligible high school. Students who interrupt their education to fulfill a military obligation may reapply upon completion of their service.
How the Renewal Process Works:
Where funds are available, we determine and award scholarship renewal with the following process:
The Tempe Diablos receive enrollment and GPA information from the scholarship office of the ASU Foundation for each scholarship student for the prior semester.
A student who meets the criteria will automatically have his or her scholarship renewed. The student will receive the balance of the award amount the following semester (contingent upon his or her enrollment in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester; 24 total hours per academic year).
