>> ABOUT THE DIABLOS
The Tempe Diablos is a civic organization that began its service to Tempe in 1968. Originally formed to promote and develop spring training baseball in Tempe, the group has developed into a nationally recognized community service organization. Members of the Diablos devote their time and energy to the youth of Tempe by promoting, organizing and supporting community-based programs.
At the heart of the Tempe Diablos youth programs is the Tempe Diablos Scholarship Endowment at Arizona State University and the Arizona Community Foundation. The Diablos annually award scholarships to deserving Tempe residents who plan to go on to higher learning at the university level or a county community college. Scholarships can be renewed for students who sustain their record of academic achievement throughout their undergraduate careers.
These scholarships are investments in the future of Tempe. The promising young people who receive Tempe Diablos Scholarships will be the future leaders of our community. Young men and women in Tempe should not find the cost of education a burden too heavy to bear. Through the Tempe Diablos Scholarship, capable students can pursue their dreams of a college education. These future leaders will put their knowledge, talents and energy back into the community.
