CONTINUING SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
A student awarded a Tempe Diablos Scholarship may renew his/her scholarship by demonstrating academic achievement, displaying good citizenship and satisfying all Diablo scholarship requirements. Provided sufficient funds are available and that all Diablo scholarship criteria are maintained, this scholarship is renewable over seven consecutive semesters (for a total award of eight consecutive semesters).
During the winter break and again during the summer break, the ASU Foundation will supply the Diablos with student enrollment and grade information for the previous semester. Also, during the winter break, the ASU Foundation will supply the Diablos with student enrollment information for the ensuing spring semester. If all criteria are met the scholarship will be renewed for the next semester.
ASU students are urged to contact the University Scholarship Office when enrolling for the next semester to ascertain his/her scholarship standing. MCCCD students are urged to contact the Chairman of the Diablos College Scholarships Committee when enrolling for the next semester to ascertain his/her scholarship standing. MCCCD students should call the Diablo Administrator at 480-491-3680 to confirm the name and contact information of the current Chairman of the Diablos College Scholarships Committee.
Required criteria for eligibility for semester scholarship renewals are as follows:
· Completion of no less than 12 credit hours per semester with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher and enrollment in at least 12 credit hours the next semester.
· Demonstration of the potential to continue his/her college career by remaining in good standing with the university or college, displaying good citizenship and maintaining all Diablo scholarship criteria.
· Students who interrupt their education due to fulfillment of their military obligation may reapply when that service is concluded.
· This scholarship awards $1,000 per semester over eight consecutive semesters.
